Private Brewery · Cross Houses, Shropshire
Small Batch · Big Imagination
A one-man creative brewery where malt, memory, literature, music, aviation and invention all find their way into the glass.
In the quiet Shropshire village of Cross Houses stands a small workshop filled with copper, glass, and imagination. Here, brewer Pete Hayward tends the fires of Haywards Brewery, a one-man creative brewery devoted not to commerce, but to craft.
Each batch is brewed five gallons at a time, by hand, with the patience of a craftsman and the curiosity of an inventor. Every ale begins as an idea: a fragment of memory, a song lyric, a line of poetry, or the spark of a character waiting to be brought to life.
Through malt, hops, design and story, these fragments become small-batch beers with purpose, personality and soul.
